2021 Awards Ceremony

The annual Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) "Breakfast with the Boss" is held at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center.
At the breakfast, service members (Guard/Reserve), who are also employees of Milwaukee-based companies, and their employers are recognized. We will honor five recipients of the Wisconsin Bong Awards and the Above and Beyond Award. The Major Richard I. Bong Award is presented to outstanding service members from each military branch and the Department of Defense Freedom Award nominees will be recognized.

Rotary Club of Milwaukee, North Shore Luncheon

The luncheon for the Milwaukee North Shore Rotary Club will be hosted at the Four Points by Sheraton Milwaukee North at noon.

Admission is free to active military in uniform. For all others, the cost is $15.00 per person.
While advance reservations are not mandatory, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee North Shore appreciates knowing if you plan to attend.
Milwaukee Armed Forces Dinner Banquet

The traditional Milwaukee Armed Forces Week Dinner Banquet is the featured event of the week at the Wisconsin Club, located at 900 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Recipients for the Milwaukee Armed Services Committee's Annual Citizen Support for Our Armed Services Award and Gary Wetzel Award will be announced.
The Texas A&M Choir will perform.

The Sijan Movie
The inspired life story of Captain Lance P. Sijan, Medal of Honor recipient, whose aircraft went down during the US-Vietnam War, leaving him alone in the jungle to face insurmountable odds, but determined to find his way home.
Sijan's sister, Janine Sijan-Rozina and Tim Seymour wrote and directed the film.

The 40th Annual Civic Dinner Dance, a social event hosted by the communities of South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Cudahy and St. Francis, will be held at the 128th Air Refueling Wing.

Armed Forces Week Golf Tournament

The annual AFW Golf Outing is hosted at the Muskego Lakes Country Club.
Golf includes a Texas-style barbecue luncheon. The cost per player includes 18 holes, golf cart rental, two beverage vouchers and lunch.
Registration is limited to the first 120 golfers. Deadline is Friday, May 7, 2021
"Support the Troops Ride" and Memorial Ceremony

Join us for the Annual Support the Troops Ride® to the Harley-Davidson Museum in downtown Milwaukee. The event kicks off in the morning with registration and a complimentary pancake and sausage breakfast. The ride is schedule to begin at 11:00 a.m. and average arrival time is around noon. There will be one stop for a photo opportunity at the War Memorial on the way to the final location. All motorcyclists are welcome to participate.
Military Display

The military display will be in full swing during the day, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on the grounds of the Harley Davidson Museum in downtown Milwaukee.
Military equipment and interactive displays will be available for attendees to see and experience. This free event offers a unique experience to talk with all branches of the military to learn about their experiences and the challenges they face maintaining our freedom.
